Gov. Minner And Leading Jet Manufacturer Announce $30 Million Expansion At New Castle County Airport
Dover – Governor Ruth Ann Minner announced Monday that Dassault Falcon Jet – Wilmington (DFJ-W) is significantly expanding operations at its Dassault factory-owned Falcon Service Center at the New Castle County Airport and plans to create as many as 25 new high-tech jobs over the next year.
Dassault Falcon Jet Corp., a subsidiary of Dassault Aviation, sells and services Falcon business jets throughout the Americas and the Pacific Rim countries of Asia. DFJ-W is one of three U.S. operations maintained by the company.
The expansion plans were solidified after Gov. Minner signed Senate Bill 3 Friday, which eliminates the retail gross receipts tax on large aircraft sales. The bill was sponsored by State Sen. Robert I. Marshall and State Rep. Deborah Hudson.
